NSCA Standards of Practice.
As a member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association, and as a Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT), I have adopted the standards of practice, titled Strength & Conditioning Professional Standards and Guidelines, formed by the governing board of the NSCA. I agree with and follow these guidelines when working with clients and at the various facilities I've worked at over the past few years. The standards apply directly to strength & conditioning professionals working in the field of health and fitness. The NSCA have developed a simple, yet extensive outline of regulations to follow in order to provide a safe, efficient, and effective working environment. If followed properly, you will protect your clients, yourself, and whatever business and/or facility you operate in thanks to the safety regulations that the standards abide by. I would highly recommend anyone working in the health and fitness industry to read through the document above and get familiar with the standards used by the NSCA.
